The 8th Annual Hidden Heroes Black & White Gala, hosted by the LVMPD Foundation on April 5, 2025, was an unforgettable evening dedicated to honoring the unwavering service and sacrifice of the LVMPD Honor Guard. This elite team of 37 officers is a powerful visual symbol of dignity and remembrance, representing the department at official ceremonies and paying tribute to our fallen heroes with military-style precision.
Held at the stunning Fontainebleau Las Vegas, the evening brought together community leaders, public safety advocates, and proud supporters in a powerful show of appreciation for the brave men and women who serve with honor—often without public recognition.
Karen Marben, Executive Director of the LVMPD Foundation, served as the evening’s emcee and host, guiding the audience through heartfelt moments of tribute and celebration. Her leadership and passion were instrumental in bringing the evening’s mission to life – highlighting the importance of recognizing the quiet strength of those who serve behind the scenes and LVMPD Foundation’s mission to enhance public safety by funding training, technology, equipment, and community engagement initiatives that foster trust and connection between law enforcement and the people of Southern Nevada.

Guests were moved by the heartfelt remarks of Nami Oneda, Founding Partner of the Gala and the visionary behind The Gratitude Project. Her reflection inspired the creation of this event. It underscored the importance of expressing appreciation to those who give so much of themselves to keep our community safe.
