Support Us

Every day bad guys are put away before they can do more harm, because the men and women of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department work tirelessly to protect you and make our community a better place to live, work and visit.

Our officers rely on the generous support of local residents and businesses to help foster a safer community. Please consider showing your dedication to the safety of our community by supporting the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department through the Friends of LVMPD Foundation.

Through your support, you will help fund over 30 critical programs that support our officers and the safety of our community, including the following important initiatives.

  • Fallen Officers Assistance for Families Fund
  • Every 15 Minutes Program, which educates new teenage drivers on the safest ways to travel the roads with the goal of reducing traffic fatalities
  • Technology and Training Enhancements including Downtown Crime Cameras and Body Worn Cameras

The Foundation

Incorporated in June of 1999, the Foundation acts as a clearinghouse for donations to and requests from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for property, funds, training resources, and support not otherwise covered through the customary budget process. We are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

The purpose of the Foundation is to develop outside resources and serve as a bridge between the police and the community. Our objective is to work with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the community in order to help the Department accomplish their critical mission to protect people, their property, and their rights, while providing the best public safety and service.
