The LVMPD Foundation proudly unveiled the Detective Steve Scholl Building at the Joint Emergency Training Center (JETI), honoring an admired figure in Las Vegas law enforcement. Named after Detective Scholl, who worked closely with Sheriffs Jerry Keller and Bill Young, the building stands as a testament to his mentorship and lasting impact on a generation of officers.
At the dedication ceremony, speakers including Lindy Schumacher from the Lincy Foundation, Dr. Eric Esrailian, and Sheriff Kevin McMahill shared heartfelt messages about Detective Scholl’s dedication to his colleagues and community.
Guests were given a hard hat tour of the building’s interior, which is currently under construction. Once completed, the Detective Steve Scholl Building will serve as a state-of-the-art tactical training center, with immersive environments replicating real-life settings that officers face every day, such as casino and motel rooms, a convenience store, gas station, and residential streets.
The LVMPD Foundation invites the community to support this critical project by sponsoring one of these training environments or adding a name to the donor recognition wall, contributing to the preparation and safety of our first responders and building a safer Las Vegas.
