Santa Cops and Shop with a Cop are heartfelt initiatives that bring together police officers and underserved children for a special shopping spree during the holiday season.
GIVE A CHILD A HOLIDAY SHOPPING TRIP TO REMEMBER
Each December, LVMPD officers set aside their patrol duties to take more than 500 children from families facing hardship on a one-on-one shopping trip. Each child has $150 to spend on clothes, toys, and gifts. For the officers, it's a chance to be seen simply as a friend.
