SWEETENING COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Keeping Halloween Safe and Community Strong
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Foundation supports community engagement and outreach around Halloween through initiatives that promote public safety and strengthen relationships, especially in underserved neighborhoods.
Each year, the Foundation hosts a Halloween Candy Drive, collecting candy and donations from the public. LVMPD officers distribute the candy at over 20 fall festivals and trick-or-treat events across the Las Vegas Valley. These events offer a safe and festive environment for children and families while also creating opportunities for positive interactions between officers and the community.
This Halloween-focused outreach is part of the Foundation’s broader mission to foster trust, support meaningful connections, and enhance the sense of community throughout Southern Nevada.
HOW TO CONTRIBUTE
You can donate candy through the LVMPD Foundation's Amazon Wishlist or you can make a financial contribution to the LVMPD Foundation.
