NEW BIKES NEEDED FOR DESERVING KIDS IN SOUTHERN NEVADA
Bicycle Drives: Empowering Youth, Building Community
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Foundation proudly supports a series of bicycle drives that bring joy, promote wellness, and build lasting connections between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
These efforts are made possible through strong partnerships with the LVMPD, community organizations, and generous donors across the Las Vegas Valley.
One of the most recognized initiatives is the Bicycle Drive, led by the LVMPD SWAT team in collaboration with the nonprofit Superheroes for Sully. It stands as a powerful reminder of the compassion and humanity at the heart of policing and exemplifies the SWAT team’s commitment to giving back beyond their tactical roles.
Bicycles are also donated at multiple community engagement events throughout the year, especially around the holiday season and and other neighborhood-focused programs driven by LVMPD's Community Oriented Policing (COP) teams and the Office of Community Engagement.
For many children, receiving a bicycle is more than just a moment of happiness—it’s a symbol of freedom, mobility, and opportunity. It encourages healthy lifestyles, independence, and confidence, while also serving as a tangible gesture of community care and support.
Together, these bicycle drives represent the LVMPD Foundation’s broader mission: to support the men and women of law enforcement and to build a stronger, safer, and more connected community—one act of kindness at a time.
