The 2025 Wonder Women of Metro Luncheon was a remarkable celebration of leadership, service, and community.
On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, more than 230 guests gathered at the JW Marriott to honor female leadership in law enforcement, business, and our community. From the energy of DJ Kelly J, appearances by McGruff in his Raiders jersey, and a Wonder Woman cosplay courtesy of Critical Care Comics, to the heartfelt stories shared on stage, the day was nothing short of inspiring.
We extend our deepest gratitude to:
-
Sandra Douglass Morgan, President of the Las Vegas Raiders, for her powerful keynote about breaking barriers as a female business leader in a male-dominated field—paralleling the unique challenges and triumphs of women in law enforcement.
-
Undersheriff Andy Walsh, for his thoughtful remarks on how women bring a valuable and different perspective to policing.
-
LVMPD Office of Community Engagement Director Rachel Skidmore and Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren, who presented the Crystal Sims Award to Officer Alexis Turner. This award honors the memory of Crystal Sims, a beloved officer who died from cancer linked to her military service in Afghanistan.
-
Sgt. Stephanie Ward for presenting the Rising Stars Awards celebrating three outstanding women at Metro who are leading with distinction:
-
Officer Ann Hardman
-
Corrections Officer Angelina Cuyugan
-
Civilian Mackenzie Nogues
-
-
Auctioneer Jes Fama, for rallying the room during our Live Auction and Fund A Need, raising critical support for programs like the Bolden Lions Women’s Futbol Club, giving at-risk youth the chance to play sports and be mentored by police.
-
Our generous guests who purchased Mystery Boxes, Live Auction items, and Fund A Need opportunities—your contributions make a direct impact on community engagement programs that build trust and safety.
Special thanks also to emcee Patranya Bhoolsuwan, who guided the program with warmth and energy.
This event reflected what’s possible when community members, law enforcement, and business leaders come together to lift up women who inspire us all. Together, we’re building a stronger, safer community.
