Support LVMPD Foundation’s Backpack & School Supplies Drive
Far too many students do not have the essential school supplies they need to be successful in school. LVMPD Foundation and the LVMPD Office of Community Engagement have an initiative during the summer months to provide more than 12,000 backpacks and other school supplies to local students in Southern Nevada.
With many families still affected by the financial impacts of COVID-19, this program helps alleviate financial burdens for students returning to the classroom. The plan is successful thanks to corporate sponsorships and generous contributions made by the community.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation raises funds to support and supplement hundreds of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department units, training and equipment, programs and initiatives that are essential to making meaningful improvement in public safety. Most of the funding goes toward positive community-police engagement programs that contribute to productive relationships that help make our neighborhoods safer for all.
