PT’s Entertainment Group and Lyft’s ‘Ride Safe’ Program

More than 1,600 community members raise money for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation through PT’s Entertainment Group and Lyft’s ‘Ride Safe’ program

Las Vegas – This holiday season, PT’s Entertainment Group launched its 2017 ‘Ride Safe’ program in partnership with Lyft encouraging tavern guests to ‘Ride Safe’ while benefiting the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Foundation. More than 1,600 community members participated in the program which has raised more than $13,000 since its inception three years ago,

“The Ride Safe program has been a tremendous success over the past three campaigns in providing a great awareness about the dangers of impaired driving,” said Ross Gdovin, vice president of marketing for Golden Entertainment. “Providing a safe ride alternative to and from our taverns is a priority for our company and we look forward to continuing this partnership with the LVMPD Foundation.”

The 2017 ‘Ride Safe’ program commenced on Nov. 22, 2017 and ran through Jan. 1, 2018. PTEG and Lyft each donated $1 for every Lyft ride from one of PTEG’s 56 southern Nevada taverns. The program began three years ago to promote responsible driving during the holiday season and has raised more than $13,000 for the LVMPD Foundation. Funds raised through the Foundation provide updated equipment for the Department, advanced officer training, support for families of fallen officers, higher education scholarships and community safety programs.

“We are incredibly proud to donate to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation as the result of our successful holiday campaign with PT’s Entertainment Group,” said Yacob Girma, Lyft Las Vegas general manager. “More than 1,600 Lyft rides were given from PTEG properties meaning that many people made it home safe to their families during the holidays and allowed us to continue our goal of providing reasonable and safe transportation alternatives to our community.”
