The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Strategic Support Initiative is designed to enhance the police department’s counter-terrorism and criminal intelligence capabilities by increasing education, networking, and collaboration with national and international law enforcement partners. Funds donated to the LVMPD Foundation for the Strategic Support Initiative are used to support the LVMPD Homeland Security Division in accomplishing the following objectives:
1. Increase LVMPD homeland security education and engagement, training programs, and collaboration events.
2. Improve security and watch operations in Southern Nevada by advancing the use of cutting edge technologies and innovative strategies to combat crime and terrorism.
