Wonder Women of Metro luncheon celebrates female leadership in law enforcement and our community

On Thursday, September 9, 2021, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Foundation held their annual Wonder Women of Metro luncheon. The event honoring female leadership in law enforcement and our community was held at Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. Over 300 guests attended including District Attorney Steve Wolfson, Congresswoman Susie Lee, Councilwoman Victoria Seaman, Sheriff Lombardo’s wife, Donna Anderson Lombardo, undersheriff Chris Darcy, and Henderson Police Chief Pamela Ojeda.

The event’s Honorary Chairwoman was Missy Young, chief information officer at Switch, and the Keynote Speaker was Nikki Fargas, president of the Las Vegas Aces. Robin Greenspun made the special introduction. Guests were treated to a gift bag from Sephora and gourmet chocolates from award-winning Jean-Marie Auboine Chocolatier. Entertainment was proved by DJ Lisa Pittman.

“Each year, the Wonder Women of Metro luncheon allows us to recognize more incredibly gifted female leaders of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department,” said Tom Kovach, Executive Director.

Funds raised for the LVMPD Foundation provide updated equipment for the Department, advanced officer training, community safety programs, as well as the continuing construction of the Reality Based Training Center in Southern Nevada.
