LVMPD Press Release</p>
<p>Three more names will be added to the memorial wall for fallen officers on Thursday,<br />
May 17 during the Southern Nevada Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony.<br />
The multi-agency event pays tribute to local law enforcement officers who died in the<br />
line of duty from 1905 to present.</p>
<p><strong>* The ceremony will be held at the Police Memorial Park, 3250 Metro Academy<br />
Way, * 6 p.m.<br />
* Thursday, May 17th, 2012</strong></p>
<p>The additions to the wall include U.S. Drug Enforcement Special Agent Don Cleo<br />
Ware, who died Oct. 12, 2004, Nevada Department of Corrections Officer Tracy Hardin<br />
who died Jan. 20, 2012 and Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy Jack London, who died May<br />
17, 1943.<br />
Altogether, 31 officers will be remembered at the ceremony from the following agencies:<br />
DEA, FBI, Henderson PD, NLVPD, Nevada Department of Corrections, Union Pacific<br />
Railroad, LVMPD, United States Marshal Service, and the Nye County Sheriff’s Office.<br />
Speakers at the event will include LVMPD Sheriff Douglas Gillespie, Lt. Tim Filson of<br />
the Nevada Department of Corrections and Assistant Special Agent in Charge Paul A.<br />
Rozario of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.</p>
<p>At the end of the ceremony, City of Las Vegas Mayor Pro Tem Stavros Anthony will<br />
rededicate the Law Enforcement Memorial Rock, which was recently moved to its final<br />
home at the Police Memorial Park.</p>
